The archway opening incorporates eighteen separate detection zones, six horizontals and three verticals. A display or color monitor (option), depicting the archway pinpoints the exact locations of one or more weapons. At a glance, you can see a hand guns or metal object carried on the left, right or center of the body.

A new design concept provides unparalleled performance
The Intelliscan 12000 utilizes a revolutionary new design concept. Older type pulse induction technology used by other manufacturers have been replaced with a superior high stability continuous wave multiple sensor measurement technique. Multiple transmitter elements and sensors are located on both sides of the person being screened using high-speed digital signal processing. Note: (metal objects are analyzed 33,000 times per second) (detectors typically scan at only 400 pulses a second). Intelliscan's multiple dual-balanced sensor configuration and eighty-fold higher analysis rate, enables metal objects to be measured with much greater precision. Handguns and mini-revolvers manufactured from steel, stainless steel, aluminum, zinc alloys, etc. Are detected in a single operating mode and over a wide range of transit speeds.
An embedded computer using sophisticated software provides high speed digital signal processing (dsp) and self-monitoring diagnostic programs which ensure consistent, highly stable drift free operation. Low intensity magnetic fields are used that are completely safe for wearers of pacemakers, pregnant women, film and storage media.

The ability to reject interference (electromagnetic noise) from outside sources separates the quality detector from others. This type of interference, caused by equipment such as fluorescent light ballistics, computer monitors and photocopiers cause inferior units to regularly false alarm. Some manufacturers mask noise rejection problems by using IR. Sensors' that deactivate their units until a person walks through. These IR. Devices, sometimes referred to as traffic counters, can actually allow weapons or contraband to be passed, slid or tossed through the detector without it alarming! Avoid dangerous security breaches by selecting a detector that is continuously active - the Intelliscan 12000.
The Intelliscan 12000 uses highly efficient electromagnetic interference rejection algorithms and unique circuitry to eradicate the high false alarm rates common to many detectors. The unit thrives in environments where other detectors are rendered inoperative.
High discrimination cuts unwanted alarms and reduces screening costs:
Discrimination (the ability to detect small weapons while ignoring harmless objects) is an important performance characteristic. Conventional detectors combine the signals from all metal objects carded by the person being screened. Signals from shoe metal, watches, jewelry, keys, coins, belt buckles and eyeglasses are processed as a cumulative signal. Anyone carrying an assortment of distributed harmless objects will cause an alarm and interrupt the traffic flow. As a result, security personnel often resort to making people empty their pockets.
Because the Intelliscan's zones act as independent detectors, signals from metal in shoes, pockets and eyeglasses are processed separately and do not combine to create unwanted alarms. It is not necessary for the public to empty pockets. This, combined with Intelliscan's low false alarm rate and weapon's location display, cuts the physical workload of security personnel. Both traffic congestion and public aggravation are minimized. When manual searches are necessary the process is easier and faster.
Unlike single zone detectors, the performance of Intelliscan 12000 is not impaired by steel reinforcements in the floor:
A conventional detector's performance is impaired when it is operated on a floor that contains reinforcing steel. The re-bar causes serious signal losses in the lower sections of the detector. To compensate, the overall sensitivity of the detector must be raised to a level that enables a weapon to be detected at floor level. This -overall increase in detector sensitivity makes the central and upper regions of detection overly sensitive. Therefore harmless items that are smaller than a weapon will cause unwanted alarms if they are carded through the upper regions of the detector again, increasing traffic congestion. In contrast, Intelliscan's lower zones can be individually adjusted to precisely compensate for the losses caused by the floor metal. The central and upper zones can be adjusted to operate at optimal sensitivity settings. This prevents the hot spots and unwanted alarms that occur in conventional units.
Easy to set up and install:
Intelliscan 12000 is rugged, easy to install and calibrate and can be made operational in 15 to 20 minutes. The LCD display guides the user through the simple calibration process. Once set, the calibration parameters are retained in memory. Each time power is switched on, Intelliscan 12000 self tests and adjusts to its surroundings.
